The drive from Trieste to Dobrna was just beautiful and very relaxing (excellent roads and very little traffic). We stayed at a spa resort there. It was a bit old-fashioned and dated, but it’s very nice and calm.

Dobrna is also near the most important hops-growing area in Slovenia. Nearby is a town called Zalec, which is home to a wonderful place—the beer fountain.
